Supervisors
SWCDs are special-purpose units of government that manage and direct conservation programs at the local level. Five locally elected Blue Earth County SWCD Supervisors provide leadership and governance. The role of the Elected District Supervisors is to develop policy, long range plans and budgets. Important programs and priorities of Blue Earth SWCD include Reinvest in Minnesota & One Watershed One Plan.
SWCD supervisors meet monthly to discuss business, including state-grant allocations to landowners; district conservation priorities; coordination with other local units of government and state agencies; and legislative priorities. Supervisors serve a 4-year term representing their nominating district. Browse our website to learn more about us, the programs and services we offer and our current priorities.
